Three Ways to Work with Meridian Counsel
Each engagement is designed around a specific challenge that senior leaders face. All three share the same foundation: independent, careful, unhurried thinking.
Back to HomeOur General Approach
All three engagements are built around conversation rather than documentation. We are not a source of reports, frameworks, or strategic plans. We are a thinking resource — available to challenge, to question, to help a leader examine a situation from a different angle.
The quality of the engagement depends on openness. We work best with leaders who are willing to think aloud, to say what they're actually uncertain about, and to sit with difficult questions rather than reaching quickly for comfortable answers.
Before any engagement begins, we discuss the situation, the fit, and the logistics. There is no hard sell. If the work doesn't seem right for your circumstances, we will say so directly.

Board Preparation Engagement
A careful engagement supporting leadership teams as they prepare for significant board discussions — strategic reviews, major decisions, or communications where the stakes are particularly high. We work with management to develop the materials, anticipate questions, and think through how complex information is best presented to the governing body. The engagement closes with a facilitated rehearsal session in which we play the role of board members, pressure-testing the presentation before it matters.
What's included
- Initial briefing session to understand the board context and upcoming discussion
- Document and materials review with structured feedback
- Facilitated rehearsal session — Q&A from board perspective
- Post-rehearsal debrief and final preparation notes
Duration
Three weeks
Fee
USD 580
Most useful when the board discussion will address matters where clear, honest communication particularly matters — a performance shortfall, a strategic pivot, a difficult request.

Standing Conversation
A monthly ninety-minute conversation with a senior leader or business owner, on a standing schedule. The subject matter is entirely whatever the leader brings — a current decision, an ongoing concern, a longer-term question, or simply the space to think aloud with someone who listens carefully. The arrangement is designed to be sustainable over extended periods. Many participants continue for years, finding value in the accumulated context an advisor builds of their situation over time.
What's included
- Monthly ninety-minute session on a fixed schedule
- No preset agenda — you bring what you need to discuss
- Email access to your advisor for brief questions between sessions
- No minimum term beyond the initial month
Frequency
Monthly
Fee
USD 210 /mo
Suited to founders, CEOs, and senior leaders who want a reliable, confidential space to think — without the overhead of a larger advisory arrangement.
